On admission to the bar, Ms. Smith joined our firm in 1990.  Over that time, she has been involved in all aspects of personal injury and wrongful death claims from investigation and prosecution through the appellate level.  Ms. Smith has handled and tried numerous complicated cases involving medical malpractice, health care claims, construction accidents, ATV and other vehicular accidents and claims arising out of dangerous property or products. 

Ms. Smith is a graduate of Colgate University and obtained her law degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where she received an award for excellence in trial practice.  She is currently a member of the Erie County Bar Association, the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.  She is currently serving on the board of directors of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.  She previously served as treasurer of the Western New York Trial Lawyers’ Association and also on both the local and state boards of directors of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.
